After a half-dozen doctors seen for my spinal pain, he came through. He eased my pain greatly, without the increases in pain meds that most doctors resort to. He treated, and is still treating, my pain. With minimal use of narcotics. I've seen too many good people die from a ""doc-in-a-box"" diagnosis like they gave me. ""Double his morphene"" over the phone. That is what I was trying to avoid. when I showed this to Dr. Hummel, he was very upset. With my condition, I will probably have chronic pain for the rest of my life. (At 48, that's not a picnic). But Dr. Hummel is trying, and succeeding, with alternatives to Morphene all day, and Oxycontin all night. I am disabled, inoperably. and still have pain. But a lot less pain, with a lot less pain meds than before. Thank you Dr. Hummel, We'll keep trying, and someday (I hope) my back will get better. But until then, I just want to say, that you just can't find a more dedicated doctor, or staff(who are terrific), than with Dr. Hummel, at Norwood Hosital's Pain Center. Great people!
