Review content:
We had our central air conditioning system fail back in May. We had a technician from Solvit Home Services come out. We had used Solvit prior because the old home owners had a service contract with them and so we had their information on file. Solvit had someone come that day and we were told exactly what went wrong and were given an estimate with different options to choose from. We chose an option that fit our budget and time frame.
We called the office and they had it scheduled for us. The repair tech came out and did the entire job in that day. He was on time, clean, and friendly. Thank god we had our central a/c start working right before a lot of the really hot temperatures. We were also notified during that experience about having a service contract that would save us some money in the long run.
With the service contract comes yearly electrical, plumbing, and HVAC inspections just to make sure everything is going well. It's all prompted to us by the office. They call and tell us it's time for the electrical or HVAC inspection. As a homeowner it's a really nice safety net to know you have this great company coming over to preempt any issues you may potentially have.
If I could go back and tell myself four and a half years ago to get the service contract, that would have been great advice to have. It makes a lot of sense when you're a homeowner, even for someone like myself who's a DIY-er. It just lets you rest assured.
