I complained to the BBB about this vet. Below is the email I sent to the BBB. The case has been closed b/c the vet sent a copy of my dogs file showing where they had written that they apologized. She denied everything I mentioned in the letter below. She said I was never told the things I mentioned. As I told the BBB, no one ever apologized to me in any way. Just because the wrote down that they did, does not mean that they did. Why would I make this stuff up? I am an avid animal lover and do not want the possibilty of other animals receiving this treatment. I did not want anything from them except an apology. As of today, still do not have that. You should think twice before using this vet.\r \r I took my dog to be boarded with this vet during the middle of February. They have also been the vet I use since I adopted Bella in August of 2007. I have had no problems with them until we picked up my her up after staying there one night. We have boarded her once or twice before, one of those times lasting a few days. They have always told me to bring anything we want, with instructions, and they will take care of it. As normal, we packed her bag with explicit notes on when to give her the special diet food we provided, treats, toys, blanket, etc. When my partner went and picked her up, he noticed she smelled of urine. Just thinking it was no big deal he went on home. As soon as he got home, let her out of the car, it was apparent she REALLY needed to go in the yard. Once he got inside, he opened the bag we packed and nothing had been given to her. It looked as if they had not even opened it. He called and asked for whoever was in charge. The girl on the phone informed him that he would need to speak to the ""Boarding Director"" who came in at 3. He called back, and he voice his complaints with her. 1. She was not given her food (if any at all). 2. That she smelled horrible after her visit. 3. Asked for a refund due to horrible service. Rudely, the ""Boarding Director"" said, we don't do special things just because you ask us to. She did promise that she was fed even though we provided SPECIAL DIET FOOD for her. I still have my doubts if she was fed because you just never know. As far as the smell, she told him that we must not keep her clean like we should. I, personally gave her a bath 2 days before we took her. I know she was clean. They offered no apology as she said they did nothing wrong. This infuriated me, so I called. When I called, I asked for the ""Boarding Director"" and was told they really didn't have one. So then I ask for the person in charge of the kennels. She told me they all chip in and help with that. I gave her the scenario all over again and told her I was not happy. She then told me that they DO follow any instructions from the owner. So then why did the ""Boarding Director"" tell us they didn't. As far as her smelling of urine, it makes one think they didn't let her out like they should have. Maybe she had an accident in her cage and had to sit in it. Again, we will never know. So I had to spend another $30 to have her bathed due to ""something"" that went wrong while she was in their care. I also told her with all of the negative publicity of puppy mills and the animal shelter, I would think they would be more cautious with the animals. She was nice but really didn't know what to say because she couldn't tell me who was responsible for the animals that night. She said she would check into it. That same day, I immediately had them transfer Bella's records to another veterinarian.\r
