Review content:
If you do decide to use these guys ask Bob or Cal about why they charged the guy with the Bucket truck the second time he had to have it TOWED to their shop while it was STILL UNDER WARRANTY at 21 months and made him pay for the repairs. The truck had 86,000 miles with a factory transmission, didn't even make another 15,000 miles with their repair the first time, and 10,000 miles the second time.
They may have been good at one time, but now it's just about the money.
They charge for a complete rebuild and don't change all the parts - They told me that a thrust bearing failed the second time, but it was a part they re-used, the part was $4.95. Why wasn't it replaced?
Very disappointed in their customer service and quality of work. The third time it failed - I took it somewhere else.
There are many repair facilities in the Rockford area, ask around, call your dealer and ask who they use, many of them do not do their own transmission repair, but if the repair facility isn't reliable, they will stop using them. You don't want cheap repairs and you don't want expensive repairs, but I believe you get both with this company cheap workmanship and expensive prices.
Good luck. Robert
