Review content:
I took my best friend here for his birthday. The big guy outside was so nice and friendly even as we left the place and were trying to take a picture next to the big chandelier he offered to take it of us and even insisted on taking one of us outside in front of the mastro?s sign, so ridiculously nice!! By that I know why this restaurant is so successful. Our waitress Molly was genuinely nice. I was expecting something brilliant for the price like 46ish for my 24 oz. porterhouse steak but it really wasn?t as good as I expected. The best steak honestly is at a place called Harris Ranch up north. Anyway my friend got the bone in filet and I thought his was more tender than mine. We also got the fried ravioli appetizer and it was very good. The chopped salad was good too it was basically chopped lettuce, roasted red bell peppers, parmesan & blue cheese, artichokes and etc I don?t even remember in a red wine vinaigrette it was pretty good too. We also got the garlic mashed potatoes which I really enjoyed it wasn?t too creamy or buttery it was kinda light and perfect. To top it off we got the apple tart which was delicious. It was like 2 big tarts made out of light and fluffy puff pastry with an apple center and a yummy fresh scoop of vanilla bean ice cream on top of each one and it came with a huge plate of fresh whip cream. The price of each steak being 50 dollars is just ridiculous I mean it really is. Maybe if it had an incrdibly unique flavor and texture it would be fine but mine was pretty tough & salty and didn?t melt in my mouth as I expected it too. I had such high hopes but I mean considering the atmosphere and stuff its almost worth it to go on just a special occasion. There were like a couple older ladies with tons of plastic surgery swaying in front of the piano with some sugar daddies so that?s what they mean when they say people can dance there. Like I said the people there are nice at least even the piano guy said bye to us at the end.
Pros: fantastic customer service
Cons: Park at the meters so you don't have to pay the valet
