Review content:
We've been to Mastro's just the 2 of us, with our parents, and with large groups. Each time, the steaks (we've had the ribeye and the filet) are prepared perfectly -- no fancy sauces, just seasoning and the meat's own perfect flavor. (And probably a ton of butter, too.) Absolutely mouthwatering and delicious. The side items are great too, especially the asparagus, mashed potatoes, and sugar snap peas, but the creamed corn tastes more like cream than corn -- they should try to copy Lawry's recipe and might do better. Caesar salad was just right -- crisp leaves and correct proportion of garlic, cheese, and anchovy paste. Service is consistently fantastic and friendly -- server will answer questions about the menu, offer recommendations, refill your wine / water in a timely manner, etc. We went last week for a pharmaceutical presentation and were quite a large group. The waitstaff were nothing short of professional, knowledgable, and courteous, and the food, as always, did not disappoint. Can't wait to go back.
Pros: STEAK, STEAK, STEAK.
Cons: It ain't cheap. But you pay for what you get.
