When we first bought our house, there were two chimneys and fireplaces. We suspected that because the house had been empty for over two years that the chimneys and fireplaces had not been properly maintained.
We called a local chimney service. We watched as they struggled with the chimney fittings, getting them apart then having to take quite a while to put them together. And while they did clean out one of the fireplaces, the second one they did not. I ended up cleaning out a mess that also included some trash. I had figured, for what they charged me they at least should have cleaned out both the fireplaces.
When the next cleaning was due, I called A 1 Evans. The difference in the skill levels was very apparent. They brought drop clothes for the floors, something I dont remember seeing with the other service. They had no problems getting the fittings off and on and they cleaned both fireplaces.
They also did something the other service did not do. They made some recommen
