Definitely this is a wonderful place to take your pet for medical care. We have a miniature Dachshund that recently became paralyzed, dragging her rear legs behind her. Our local vet told us to immediately take her for surgery. We took our vet?s advice and drove from Upper Michigan to Appleton Wisconsin as directed. Upon arrival we were told that ?time was of the essence? and that for starters our dog needed an immediate $4,500 surgical procedure. We were floored as we are on a fixed income. On the way back to Michigan we decided to pursue a second opinion stopping at the Animal Hospital of Howard near closing time. The receptionist and staff were exceptionally warm and friendly and spent the extra time necessary to schedule our pet in for evaluation. To make a long story short, one treatment of acupuncture put our dog back on her feet within 24 hours. She recovered fully within two weeks and jumps and plays with our other two miniature Dachshunds as though the injury never happe
