Review content:
I recently took a tour of this kennel as an alternative to where we normally take our Bassett. Their daily rate was significantly less (I thought the place we took our dog to was rather pricey), so I thought it was worth a look. All of the people were very nice. However, my first impression was that it was a rather old looking/run down building and I was almost overcome with "dog" smell when walking in the door. The kennel area was very loud. The cage areas looked cold and uninviting - cinder block walls half way up then chain link fences on the top half. I couldn't help but think it had an institution / prison feel. This may not be a fair post since I have not used their services, but I think first impressions say a lot. Plus, our Bassett is pretty spoiled and I'm sure he would NOT be happy with us for putting him there.
