I've been going to the IP3 regularly since 1991 and let me tell you, it is absolutely the best NY pizza to be found in all of North Carolina. I've looked! \r \r The place looks like a total hole in the wall, and it is, but don't let that fool you. The same NY Italian guys have been working there the whole time I've been going, and they STILL recognize me and remember my order even after I've lived out of state for more than a year. They know their business!\r \r Their large cheese pizza is just perfect. It's got that classic NY crust - nearly paper thin in the center, but not crispy, slightly floury on the bottom, with an edge crust which is crisp on the outside, doughy on the inside. The sauce has a strong sausage-type scent, due to the herbs and spices in it, and the cheese is tasty and applied super thinly with just a touch of olive oil. \r \r If for some insane reason you just can't eat another pizza, go check out their Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
