Owner of two aging cats. We have moved around the country and have always had good experiences in the past with AAHA accredited animal hospitals...until we went to VCA West Seattle Veterinary Hospital. I didn't have any single major negative experience, but a build up of many unfortunate interactions with staff left me feeling disgruntled enough to start taking our cats to another vet - despite the fact that this one is 2 blocks from our house. In a nutshell my issues were: 1) inconsiderate, rude, and incompetent office/reception staff. I often stood there for minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. I once left my cats' medication on the counter and called when I got home to tell them I was coming back to pick it up. The receptionist told me there was no med on the counter. I drove over and there it was sitting right in front of their eyes!! 2) I felt that everyone was so focused on money.
