Review content:
I have been going to Monmouth Medical Group (formerly known as Medical Health Center) on route 35 South in Middletown, NJ for over 10 years, I recently had to get a Man Tou(Tuberculosis shot) and decided to go to a place where I was comfortable. When I called the front desk to see how much the procedure would be I was immediately greeted with a curt and rude receptionist. After talking to a whirlwind of staff I finally received an answer from Angel in the billing department. She told me the procedure would cost $75, which I thought was fair. I asked if that was the total price to be absolutely certain. When I walked into the office, I was again greeted by said rude receptionist, who didn't want to help me if the world depended on me. I felt as if I had stepped into a NJ DMV, instead of a doctors office. The nurse and doctor where OK but what happened next was atrocious. After confirming and reconfirming the price with various staff members, including the doctor, they still managed to boggle the situation. When I approached the payment desk, I was told my balance was $160, $85 for the visit and $75 for the test. They told me that since I haven't been into the office recently that they had to charge the $85 office visit. I have been a solid customer to this facility, but because I didn't get sick or have a reason to go into see the doctor in the past year, they penalized me. In this day and age when few are without employment and most are looking to be scrupulous with their hard earned money, it is amazing that this type of thing goes on. If you are considering a visit to this facility, you would be well advised to go else where.
