Review content:
Dr. Tau left me in tears. He found cavities during my first visit (via Groupon), and told me that with a $295 annual enrollment in his ""Oral Health Savings,"" it would only cost me $900 for the fillings, to be paid on a CareCredit card over 12 months. With his assurance, I signed up for the card and made an appt. Feeling that I had been pressured, I soon changed my mind and stopped in the office 14 days later to cancel all the scheduled services. Dr. Tau absolutely refused to refund the $295 membership, even though I would not be redeeming any of the services therein. He changed from the amicable person I remembered to a sneering businessman - initiating a loud, forceful confrontation. To paraphrase him: ""I offered you a service and you paid for it. No one has ever had a problem except you. I'm gonna tell you right now, you're not getting that money back."" I then asked, ""Where does the $295 go? What service did you offer? I'm not using any of the services! Why can't you just refund the money? $295 is a lot to me."" The secretary, Barbara, told me that $295 was my price to pay for Tau spending 5 minutes with me to apply for the card. She said, ""This is a business. You have to realize that Dr. Tau spent as much time with you doing the application as he would have with someone spending $20K on their dental work."" As if I was supposed to be grateful that Dr. Tau treats poor people like me the same as regular people. So my $295 will go right in Dr. Tau's pocket - it's a half-month's rent for me and nothing but a drop in the bucket for him. He can laugh all the way to the bank while I feel taken advantage of and ripped off...I feel sad that a dental assistant/hygienist as wonderful as Roxanne is affiliated with these people.\r
