My whole family have gone to Shelby County Family Medicine for years. And, over the years we have overlooked a LOT of RUDE and HATEFUL treatment from the people up front at the window,people over the phone, etc. ( Now,I am not saying all of them are rude......but,SEVERAL are!! The ones that are rude aren't just rude and hateful to people who are rude to them....I have been there on several occasions where someone goes up to the window to sign in and give insurance cards and be as nice as nice can be and the girls( especially Nicki) behind the desk act like they'd rather eat glass , than talk to you or deal with you.( GET ANOTHER JOB....ONE WHERE YOU DON'T DEAL WITH PEOPLE ,IF YOU HATE THEM THAT MUCH!!) But, I have also noticed how Dr. George treats people as if they are stupid,he's rude, and basically says everything is fine ...my son said he thinks he's like a "" band -aid doctor."" My kids HATE going there...but, there really aren't many options for around Shelbyville. I always give people the benefit of the doubt...you know...maybe they are having a bad day...maybe they don't feel well etc.......but, for goodness sakes they must have a LOT of bad days..if that's the case. There is NO EXCUSE FOR THE TREATMENT YOU GET WHEN YOU GO THERE. You are just shoved in and out like cattle and nobody cares how you feel or how THEY make you feel. At this point I don't care if I have to drive further away as long as we can be treated like human beings. I just can't get over them. I would NOT take MY MOTHER there...or anyone else from now on.
Pros: Seeing another doctor
Cons: You still have to deal with the girls up front if you do see another doctor.
