Our cat died today and Dr. Kumar had a chance to save him but didn’t. This is strike 2 for Kumar and we are not willing to give him a chance for number 3. \r
Our cat got out of your house last night and spent the cold night stuck on our fence. By the time we found him this morning, he was cold and in shock. My husband rushed him to this “vet” while I called the answering service. The woman on the line put me in contact with Kumar. I explained the situation and he told me that he wasn’t going to put the cat to sleep just because the treatment was too expensive…WTF? Way to diagnose the cat Kumar. I was practically yelling at him. Then he told me that my husband had to call when he got the office. We live 5 miles away, my husband was practically there therefore, I was the phone call. He insisted that my husband had to call. I hung up and called my husband but his cell was in our house. I called back the answering service in hysterics. The receptionist passed on my message to have Kumar go to the office now.\r
Later from my husband, I found out that Kumar showed up in a foul mood and wanted to look up our paperwork instead of treating our suffering cat. My husband left. We ended up comforting the cat at home while we found another vet. My husband took the cat to the Vet ER in Garden Grove where he passed. \r
Strike 1 for Kumar was with another cat about 4 years ago. Our cat was run over and my husband rushed him to the vet. He was stable but we had to leave him overnight. We visited him the next day and he seemed better. We came home and not 1 hour later, Kumar calls and says verbatim, “Your cat is dead.” I was stunned that a) my cat was dead b) this guy had no emotion. When I didn’t respond, he continued, “hey your cat is dead. What do you want to do?” \r
Kumar is way more interested in the bottom line than animals. He has the heart of a ponzi schemer. I have no idea which vet school on God’s great earth gave this man a diploma, but they should be closed down for negligence. \r
In all fairness, Dr. Drago who works in the same office is our true vet. He is kind and compassionate and knows what is wrong with our animals by mere visual inspection. But we can’t always get him. I tried to speak to him today but the answering service has strict instructions to call Kumar. Unfortunately, we can’t take the chance of having Kumar neglect any more of our animals. We will be finding another vet.\r
Hey Kumar, find another job. I hear that morticians are in demand. At least those clients are already dead. \r

Update to my previous review: According to my husband, he and our cat got to the vet clinic and had to use the phone outside to call the vet. Kumar was not yet there despite my 2 phone calls. Once Kumar parked his car as he saw fit, he kept my husband waiting outside for 3 minutes before he opened the front door. Kumar then went behind the reception desk and wanted to find our file. Apparently, because we have been patients of Dr. Drago Lisak for 12 years, our file was not findable???? The last record he found was of my dog, yet we’ve had one cat die at Kumar’s hands and we’ve had a dobie euthanized by Dr. Lisak both after my dog’s visit. My husband was obviously annoyed as his beloved pet is whining in agony in his arms. He asked Kumar to just examine the cat. Kumar stated that he didn’t like my husband’s attitude. My husband then asked him point blank if he was kicking him out and Kumar said yes. This is quite obviously a man who would pass over a dying dog on the freeway. Why is he still practicing???
