Review content:
I also purchased the Groupon for laser based on the reviews for Beauty & Bliss but there were issues from the start. The first was the cost associated with additional treatment beyond the area specified in the Groupon. I understand that it was a specific area and a specific deal but do not offer an upcharge if you are not willing to follow through. The quotes ranged from $75 to $125 and it was explained that they had not yet decided if they would offer the additional service to the Groupon clients. Part of this charge was what was initially called a required numbing cream for $25 (more paperwork for this) which after three sessions was no longer required - in fact they recommended ice only. This was my second concern - if ice works better why did they wait for three sessions to offer it - so they could add an additional $25 to the upcharge? \r
Finally, to confirm the post by manaoin, I had not been receiving calls to confirm my appointments but I did not miss any either. In November I confirmed my next appointment for the end of December and when I showed up, they said that they had no appointment for me. At that time I did ask why they did not call to confirm like other salons because I have a two hour round trip drive to Brookline. I was told that it was a courtesy call and they did not have enough staff to handle the Groupon. So, as a Groupon customer, you are not entitled to courtesy - they bascially let me drive two hours for nothing. I know I had an appointment - I had made all my appointments up front with the Groupon because I had purchased two knowing I would need six sessions. (there were three sessions per Groupon) I had confirmed my December appointment with them before I left my last treatment.\r
The advice I was given was to call Groupon and get my money refunded. I was told that other Groupon holders were doing the same. It is obvious to me that they are not interested in my business and I am not interested in doing business with them. They were willing to have me pay the upcharge but did not have ""the staff for a courtesy call."" There are better and more professional establishments for laser hair removal that offer good prices and exceptional service but this is not one of them.
