Animal Lovers Beware!! - We took our healthy young female cat (Sallie) in to Gold Coast Animal Hospital on March 31, 2008 for a routine spaying. Four hours later Dr. Cohen called to say she was dead. The explanation was ""we don't know what happened"". Needless to say this is heartbreaking and infuriating. Someone did not do their job and our beloved cat paid the price. \r \r Perhaps we should have expected trouble when we were diercted ""to bring the cat in at 7:30am"" only to find that they did not open until 8 a.m. \r \r Not only did they not carry out a routine recommended procedure successfully, they also failed to perform when it was clear that something was wrong and there was an emergency situation. They failed to perform twice. \r \r Our cat was 8 months old and in perfect heath. God bless any animals being taken to these doctors that are sick. Someone did not to their job by either not paying attention, acting too slowly, not knowing what to do, or a combination of these.\r \r This conduct is unforgivable. Please think about these things before taking you pet to these people. We do not want anyone else to have to go through the pain we are experiencing. \r \r
