Review content:
The Colonial is a charming and beautiful, funky and independent theater in downtown Phoenixville. If you love variety in films (not just what every other theater showing), if you love classics or horror or indie or foreign films...you will love The Colonial. Besides the fabulous historical building and selection of films, there's another important thing I love about this theater. At other theaters, the unbelievable volume overwhelms me. I also hate the endless tacky previews for films I'd never want to see. At The Colonial, neither of these are issues I have to worry about. The volume is just right, pre-film ads are for local businesses, and any previews are both briefer and classier than at typical theaters. I love The Colonial Theatre!
