Our 15-year anniversary was coming up and I was frantic! My hubbie always came up with the most thoughtful and ingenious gifts for me. My health and budget were limited so i had to come up with something that we'd both enjoy. So after giving it some thought, I finally decided to ask him if he'd like to go wine tasting in Temecula. We've visited some of the wineries in Temecula a few years ago, so the idea was something we both liked. So then came the agonizing task of finding a hotel. A lot of hotels were booked this past Memorial Day Weekend, & I thought we'd have to bite the bullet and stay at a cheap motel without any air of romance. Until I came across a listing of bed and breakfasts. Long story short, I visited Aarnie's website and made reservations. Vista is just minutes away from Oceanside and about 20 - 30 minutes from Temecula. Aarnie's so nice, he even suggested that we try to make it there before sunset to see the great view. I knew that it would be tiring visiting the wineries in the hot weather, so I was worried that we wouldn't be able to get any peace by the end of the day. OMG! Aarnie was right! The sunset was absolutely breathtaking! I had no idea we'd be staying at a secluded place. I was able to reserve the Van Gogh room, which was nice and clean, but I didn't expect that we'd have such a beautiful view from our room! Not to mention, the pool and jacuzzi in front of our French doors beckoning for us to ease on in! The kitchen was appropriately stocked and we were able to cook and prepare meals when we wanted to. We even saw bunnies hopping around and my cute hubbie was a tourist for the weekend, taking photos of everything. For the price I paid for our stay there, it was so worth it! We didn't know how much we needed the mini vacation at Vista Bed & Breakfast until we actually were there. I really miss that place, so Aarnie, warm up the jacuzzi 'cause we'll be visiting you in the near future! Thanks! Pros: Spectacular views, quiet & secluded Cons: You need a reliable map or a navigational system
