Review content:
Had my eye exam and decided to order a new pair of glasses. The frames were ordered in the wrong color. Come to find out the color I ordered was out of stock. I waited several more weeks for the correct color to come in. The new glasses gave me a headache and pinched my nose. I wear contacts during the day, and had my old glasses which I kept and wore. I would try to wear the new frames every so often and had the same problem--headache and those pesky imprints on my nose. Over the past year, I took the frames into the optical shop about 6 times for adjustments. It bothered me that I paid $500 for the glasses and couldn't even wear them! I should point out, the only time I wore the glasses longer than 10 minutes was to take them in for an adjustment.
I had my annual eye exam today and explained to the eye doctor the problems I had with the glasses I purchased last year. They determined the prescription was in fact correct and the frames were the issue. After making my two co-payments for my eye exam and contact lense exam, I headed over to the optical shop. The 2 gentlemen who adjusted my glasses numerous times were both in the shop. I explained my problem AGAIN and said I was willing to buy a new frame (at my expense) if they could simply put the old lenses into a new frame. Guess what? They said that's not possible, I need to purchase both new frames and new lenses! I believe it is possible and my husband did it when he broke his glasses.
I asked if I'm basically out of luck and stuck with the glasses and frames that I cannot wear. He said yes and walked away. Then he turned around and said I'll let you think about it for a few minutes. I said I don't need to think about it, I'm not buying new glasses from you again!
