I have taken my dog to see Dr Knep for about 7 yrs or so. He is a great vet in many ways. But the thing that I admire most about him is that he realizes that the person is important too. Let's face it times are difficult financially and sometimes vet care is not the first thing anyone can afford. My dog had an infection and I took him to see Dr Knep. He didn't judge me or shame me but rather helped me to help him. The infection returned shortly after treatment and I took him in and paid another 200 dollars only to be shamed by Dr. Roeser (Dr Knep was unavailable) and then the staff took his lead on that one. It wasn't outright but you could tell they were judging me. I can't tell you how bad I felt that I couldn't bring him in sooner. I had to go without food for some time in order to get him treated that second time around. After that experience with Dr Roeser it makes me not want to go back there. And yes the infection is back. I must say that I wish they had treated the source rather than the symptoms. I was told it was allergy related. I can't afford another 200 again. Bottom line Dr Knep is a thoughtful, caring and compassionate veterinarian. I can not recommend him enough. Thank you
