Review content:
This healthcare entity is a good substitute for general health issues (pink eye, ear infection, etc.,), but should not be used at the main the gatekeeper for good healthcare. It is very important that the primary care physician (PCP) be the ""gatekeeper"" and know all illnesses and make referrals. Sometimes when using community health centers, the physician is so overworked that there may be oversights, especially when it comes to making referrals for other health issues. Healthcare should be complete, with the PCP taking care of the physical illnesses, but also upon observing a change in patient, be mindful enough to refer on to specialists. The doctor should never just tell the patient to see a specialist, but make sure that the referral to a preferred specialist is taken care of by his/her staff. \r
