My car's starter motor died on the day my wife was due to give birth. We needed the car to run in case she went into labor but none of the mechanics on the South Shore (we tried 7!) had an opening or could even squeeze it in for an emergency.
Thank goodness I remembered Metric in Cambridge, where I used to take my car when I lived in that area. I told them my story and they said they would find a way to squeeze me in that day given the emergency. I had the car towed there and 4 hours later it was fixed.
I can't express how much it meant to us for them to go out of their way to help us out in a crisis. Thank you, Metric!
