Review content:
I do not recommend Coal Mountain Animal Clinic. Their prices are too high and their staff is rude. I moved from Buckhead and my Buckhead Vet - Wieuca Animal Clinic was cheaper than this place! My dog is on Proin. Wiecua charged $8 per monthly perscription. Coal Mtn. charged me $11 and when I complained and asked for a prescription so I could order online, Dr. Kascher said she didn't trust online pet pharmacies. I think this is bunk!!! She just wants the money herself!!! PetMeds is a licensed pet pharmacy. So, later I tried to order a refill of Proin from PetMeds online and Coal Mtn. Vet would not approve the order. I called the vet office and asked them to approve the order so I PetMeds would ship my dog's medicine. They refused to work with online pharmacies. PetMeds only charges $6.90 for Proin. That is a savings of $4.10 per month from what Coal Mtn. charges. This is a medicine that my dog must be on for the rest of her life and the fact that my vet is trying to rip me off, is upsetting to say the least. I also just took my dog in for an exam 2 months ago and discussed with the doctor that my dog needed to come back in April for her vaccinations. I called to inquire about the vaccination fees and the staff person told me I would have to pay for another exam fee of $38 dollars too! I explained that my dog had just had an exam (which was not as thorough as most vets) and only needed her rabies and distemper shots, but she said they would not give the shots without an exam. I feel like this Vet is most concerned with making money and not providing good and fair service to her clients. Please be sure to shop around before going to this vet. There are better animal clinics out there! Cons: High Prices, Poor Customer Service
