Review content:
I placed an order for a Birthday cake a week before the birthday. Olivia was the one helping me with my order. We got all of the details down, I asked every question imaginable. The cake was going to be delivered to one of their drop off locations in Brookline between 3 and 5 pm on Saturday, the day before the Birthday party. \r
\r
When the cake was not delivered, I called Cassis and got Olivia on the phone. She recognized me (obviously!), remembered my cake, had my phone number, etc, etc, but THE CAKE WAS NOT MADE. She did not have a reason for it at all and then said that I did not pay the deposit! I was ready to pay for the whole cake when ordering, but was told that I pay directly to the place where I pick it up (they have a special arrangement and a premium on their in-store price) How daring is that to not only misplace the order, but also blame the customer for it?! wow!\r
\r
My 5 year old was really looking towards seeing a special themed cake. It was not a surprise cake, he requested the theme and knew exactly what he wanted to see on the cake. I will be calling the owner to let him know a few of my thoughts. A business that caters to special events cannot afford such mistakes. \r
