The staff of Cary Vet, especially Sheila, Becky and Dr. Bailey was compassionate with both of my cats. Five years ago I lost a Persian/Maine Coon cat to congestive heart failure - although he was 13 years old it was still difficult. Dr. Bailey was loving and compassionate towards the situation and felt as bad giving the news as I had receiving it. He worked with my Maine Coon (which died due to renal failure and lymphoma) for 2-1/2 years with some serious health issues. He was always available when there was an emergency and he took the time to explain all the details, including go over the lab results piece by piece. We worked together trying to put a plan together for his diet, medication, etc. There was only one other vet that I trusted like this and he is in CT. It was even more difficult for Dr. Bailey to call me with Zack's lab results in November 2010 -- he actually sounded like he was choking on the words that he had to deliver. I knew there was something seriously (deadly) wrong with Zack and it was just a confirmation he delivered to me. Zack went to sleep with the angels November 2, 2010. His staff was kind and beyond helpful during the loss. Although I still miss Zack and was so upset that he was only 5 years old with these kind of life-threatening illnesses I cannot hold Dr. Bailey or any of his staff responsible for our loss. They are not only compassionate their office is sparkling clean and they take all precautions with all of their gravely ill animals. Thank you, thank you for the relationship I had with them for over 8 years! Hopefully, someday soon, my heart will be ready for another little furball in my life. Right now -- just wonderful memories of Zack and the people that touched our lives in so many ways.
