Review content:
This is worst vet office I have ever been to. In addition to being poorly equipped, sloppy and ignorant, they are smug, arrogant and condescending. Their only interest seems to be pumping patients through as quickly as possible. \r
I recently moved to Pittsburgh from another state and I am trying to find a vet for my dog. This place is close to home. I made an appointment and had my previous vet fax the dog's medical records. On arrival I discovered that they keep records on index cards instead of the usual computer system that allows data sharing and querying. Neither the woman at the desk or the vet seemed interested in finding the faxed records. After much prompting an assistant found the fax and wrote the dates of two of the dog?s many immunizations on her card. I guess there is no room for a fax in the card file. I feel certain the fax was thrown out after I left. They don't have a dog scale. An assistant picked up my wriggling 100 pound animal, stepped onto a cheap bathroom scale, Dr. Battle guessed the weight, then the assistant put down the dog and weighed himself Many Weimaraners, including mine, get infections if they get too many different shots at the same time. My old vet knew about this and agreed it was a problem with Weimaraners, I have read about it in on-line forums. With Weimaraners it is good practice to split-up the vaccines and give them in 3 or 4 groups of shots a week or so apart to avoid this problem. Dr. Battle listened to what I had to say, and told me in a roundabout way that he thought this was ridiculous and he wouldn't give the dog the vaccinations that way. The worst part was his smug, arrogant, and condescending manner. In general everything there was done fast and sloppy, the place was not well equipped, and the offices didn't look clean to the level that I am used to. In my experience, vets have some more interest in what owner's have to say. I would never trust my pet to this clinic.
