Businiess name:  Circuit City
Review by:  Katharine Swan L.
Review content:
A number of years ago I bought a car stereo at Circuit City. I was told by the employee who sold me the deck that the maintenance plan would cover cleanings, as well as repairing any malfunctions that occurred. He specifically mentioned that the plan would replace buttons if they broke. After I’d had the deck for about eight or nine months, the slide switch that turned it on started to break off. I took the deck in for maintenance, but the Circuit City maintenance department accused me of breaking it, and said the plan did not cover button malfunctions. I went round and round with Circuit City on it, but they absolutely refused to repair the deck for me. As a result, I believe that Circuit City’s maintenance plans are a major rip-off, and I avoid the store entirely as a rule.
