The first time I heard of this place I had no idea what this store was. My sisters in a suburban area bragged about how great it was and strongly suggested I come with them. One day I went and at first it was exactly as I imagined, you come here and by extra large quantities of stuff you may not really need. Then she took me to the refrigerator section with all their dips, prepared food, etc… I was surprisingly impressed. I bought a few things to try it out. I then found myself asking my sisters when is the next time they plan on going back because I want to get more! Just because you shop here doesn’t mean you need to be one of those people that buys a year supply of toilet paper, who has the room for it anyway? It also doesn’t mean you need to buy just junk food. I go and buy fruit, veggies, hummus, bread, cheese, and some other dips (well that may not really be healthy). I often find it really helpful to come here being a teacher. For any holiday party, bake sale, or just snacks, I can get a large quantity at a great price. It really beats going to the local bodega and spending a ton on several packages of junk. I think this place is great! It’s going to be crowded and there will be lines, but that’s only because others agree with me. It’s a little tricky with traffic in this area, but if you could stand traffic anywhere in NYC you probably could deal with this. Obviously weekends are way crazier than anytime during the week. If you know someone who is a member and can tag along before you join, go for it!
