FIRST TERRIBLE NIGHT. I've been to Tasca before but last night was the worst and I will not be going back. \r

My husband took my parents and I out to celebrate my birthday and what I got was an awful experience. When we first arrived we had 2 people fight over who would seat us. Then it took our server 10 minutes to come to our table. When the server came, we were ready to order. We placed our drinks, apps, and entrees at the same time. We waited ONE HOUR for our food and there were only three other tables seated when we arrived (no one anywhere should wait an hour for food- I timed it). In that one hour of waiting, our server came twice to our table because we had to ask for her for drink refills and bread. When our food came out, my father's dish included saffron rice which was undercooked (the grain was still hard like raw rice). Since I couldn't find the server, I had enough and asked the hostess to get the manager. The hostess then insisted she help things and stated she'll get the manager. Instead she brought the server, after I specifically asked for the manager. So in fair effort I told the server she wasn't providing great service, only came to our table twice the whole time, and it took an hour to get the food. She didn't deny any of it. Then I asked her for the manager. FINALLY the manager came out after 20 minutes and I explained everything to her. She did apologize and refunded me half the bill. Unfortunately, that left me with such an awful experience I cannot go back there. On top of that, this year's birthday celebration is one that I will never forget. Now I'm gonna find another restaurant to do a re-do birthday celebration.
