Review content:
This business is awful!!! You have to tell them how to bill your insurance company otherwise they will hold the patient responsible for the entire amount if they make the error! In today’s age with computers & a doctor’s office cannot get their billing straight & relies on the patient? What’s next? “Oops Mr. Jones, before you went under for surgery you didn’t tell me I was supposed to remove your appendix & not your kidney!” Many businesses have gotten in trouble with the federal government lately because of Medicare fraud. One example of Medicare fraud is when a business bill Medicare patients for the amount that Medicare does not cover & are supposed to write off. That is one reason why the health care costs are so exorbitant! Insurances work the same way … they send the business an EOB (Explanation of Benefits) of what they are allowed to bill & what they are supposed to write off … they are not supposed to charge you for the write off amount. However, if there is no one policing the situation then what is stopping them from doing so? Then you have insurance fraud. I don’t believe that we need the government to police everything, heck, they can’t even police themselves … but we do need groups to make sure businesses are following the rules. How do you think businesses afford the lofty buildings & etc? Why do you think this business moved from an unpretentious office space to an ostentatious one? Yes my comrades, we are footing the bill.
