I am new to the area and starting have some shoulder pain about 8 months ago. I was not familar with any Doctors here in Murfreesboro so I opened the yellow pages and he had the largest ad so I called. I was told by the lady answering the phone that he had to see past medical records to review them before I could make a appt. I explained to her that I had been to a Orthro Doctor 7 years ago but for a completely differnt reason and had not been back since then. But I was still told that he had to see them first. So I hunted down my 7 year old records for another state, again for a totaly different body part that had nothing at all to do with my shoulder hurting. My shoulder had never even been addressed by a doctor before. So I waited one month to get a phone call from the receptionist saying that He refuses to see me and I should go to a Pain Management Doctor! I was shocked! I can only assume that he was thinking a was a pill popping Drug Addict without ever speaking to me on the phone or exmaining my shoulder in person which I think any good doctor would do. I of course did not go to a pain management doctor and called another doctor in Murfreesboro would got me in for a appt in 3 days and come to find out I had a rotator cuff tear that required surgery to correct. The docotr I saw was completely dumb founded as to why Dr Joyner refused to see me. Dr Joyner is the most uncaring doctor ever. It seems he only cares about how much he is going to make and not with the care of people! And remember it wasnt that he was not accepting new patients it was the fact that he refused to even see me for a problem that had never been seen by a doctor before. I havent even been to the doctor in alittle over 7 years! Just awful! He would have ruined my shoulder if I had not been seen by another great doctor!!!
