Review content:
We used Allied Waste for our garbage container rental while the City was the waste-removal provider. When the city dropped its program, a number of vendors contacted us with pricing options. Since our containers had been with Allied for many years, we called them to see what they would charge. Surprisingly, they came back with a charge twice as much as the closest competitor! We sent our termination letter to them, and received an updated proposal without even asking--matching the price of the competitors. It was clear they knew what the going price was, but they wanted to try to charge the existing customers as much as possible with the hopes we would not switch. Needless to say, we did not keep our service with Allied.
