We started going here on a recommendation from a family member after getting a new puppy. While the service was adequate if the dog is healthy, our pup had repeated bouts of pneumonia and I do not feel that the vet or the staff addressed the situation properly. When we returned for a third time with the pup once again not doing well (lethargic, shivering, not eating at home), they said they found nothing on their exam. My partner took the dog home and called back when puppy then threw up. The staff said it was likely just car-sickness (which she'd never had on any other car ride). We took her to Penn Vet Hospital at that point for a second opinion and it turned out she had diffuse bilateral pneumonia. When they examined her the next day at the Penn vet hospital, she was found to have a cleft palate.\r
This is a hard thing to diagnose, I am not upset that it was missed by our vet. I AM disappointed though that we would bring the dog in, saying she was sick, and they would simply say she was fine and discharge her and on top of it tell us nothing was wrong again after she started throwing up. It seems that a thorough exam was not actually done, as she was breathing very poorly and had changes in her breath sounds the whole time. If you have a pretty healthy animal that needs only shots and a quick check up once in a while, this vet is probably fine. If anything more serious is happening, unfortunately, I don't feel confident that the one vet working there has enough time to spend on each individual animal. I am in the process of finding another vet because I no longer trust the judgment of the doctor at Audubon.
