Review content:
I took my cat for vaccines and a check up because she wasn't eating well and Dr. Kunz saw her gums a little red on both sides and immediatly said that both teeth needed to be removed, without taking x-rays. Also, I told him that she was trying to get rid of a hair ball for a few days and that didn't seem to bother him. Before I left they gave me a quote for $725 to get both teeth removed, stating that a 20% discount was included. I didn't know what else to do so I scheduled the surgery for 3 days later. In the meantime I went to get a second opinion because I had many doubts about that day and took the cat to a vet. in Palm Desert. The result: antibiotics for the gums and a treatment. No need for any extraction of her teeth. The hairball wasn't a hairball, they found out the cat is asthmatic. Basically Dr. Kunz was going to put an asthmatic cat through an innecessary surgery. I called Dr. Kunz because I always want to give people an oportunity to expain things. I was stunned by his lack of professionalism, every answer he gave me was ""I'm glad you found someone you feel happier with"". Not only he didn't care, he didn't even ask specifics about the other diagnosis, something that a professional would have used for other cases. I also got a quote for the same extraction of two teeth just to compare and it's $425. I hope people realize that this is a dangerous hospital and that Dr. Kunz is a terrible Doctor and go somewhere else.
