My wife has been pleading with me to visit a dermatologist to have a skin growth examined. I have a demanding professional life with very little time during the day. I saw an ad for Johnson County Dermatology a few weeks ago and decided to make the call. I called on a Monday, was scheduled with Dr. Proffitt the next day. It took about 10 minutes to fill out the new patient paperwork. The doctor saw me within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment. Dr. Proffitt looked at the growth and said it was most likely benign. 5 minutes later the growth was removed painlessly, and the skin under the growth was cotterized with a high-tech instrument. I can barely see a mark. Dr. Proffitt asked repeatedly if there was anything else he could do for me. I asked him to do a skin cancer screening just for safety sake. All came out OK. The entire visit, start to finish, took less than 20 minutes out of my day...not a bad trade-off for a clean bill of health! I highly recommend this practice. Professional, friendly staff, and extremely efficient. Piece of mind and keeping my wife happy...priceless!
