I just went for lunch on a weekday, after not having been there for a while, though I live in the area. I've had a lot of Mexican food all over the NYC area and I can honestly say that the food here does not disappoint. Yes, it's a very small place and if you want room and quiet, you won't get it here on weekends or nights, but if you have a hankering for excellent Mexican food, try it out early for lunch sometime on any given day. The chicken enchiladas with the mole sauce is to die for! It's made with the most tender chicken ever, the mole sauce is sweet and the portions are huge for not a lot of $, (I think it's $10). The guac, salsa, beans and rice are equally good which all come with the meal. My boyfriend had the chicken chimichanga, which I tried, and again, spectacular and a lot of food. The food is always on target and very authentic. The place is a real dive-- with the decor and atmosphere, but it's the kind of place Guy Fieri should go for his show ""Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives,"" b/c the food is that good and it looks like a real dive! I think I'll write to the Food Network and suggest this place for Guy to go.\r \r \r \r Pros: Food, reasonable prices Cons: Cramped and small, slow service when crowded
