DON'T GO TO THIS OFFICE-UNETHICAL/SCAM. I am so discerned with this office's practices that I felt compelled to write a review. I had a slight ear irritation about 18 months ago (out-of-state), so I went to a Dr. & was given an antibiotic & some ointment; within days my ear was fine. Total Dr. bill=$120. Recently,I had a similar irritation in my ear, & I went in to see Dr. Paul Burkhart at Central Ohio Ear Nose & Throat 41 Commerce Park Dr, Westerville, OH 43082. He provided my with a antibiotic RX, however he indicated I needed to come back in a week to get the ointment. Within days my ear was normal- that 10 min visit was adequate, however I wanted the cream for future use so I went back. The Dr. then had me undergo all of these specialized hearing tests, which I thought was unusual since I never indicated any hearing issues. Total cost $350. Also I was charged for the 2nd visit (which was unnecessary to begin, he made me come back to get the ointment as a way to charge me for another visit. Billing was rude when I called to inquiry; said if I wanted to complain to the Dr. I needed to make an appt & would be charged a visit fee. My brother ( A very well respective Doctor in MI) said I was totally taken. Absurd. I am disappointed in this office's behavior. This is a primary reason why healthcare in the US is so challenging... my insurance company had to pay more for these bogus charges which in turn drives up everyone's health insurance premiums.
