I took my dog to Dr. Michael Kay because he was losing weight. He did some blood work and called me and said he was a little anemic but not to worry. My dog continued to lose weight. I continued to call and take him in and Dr. Kay continued to reassure me my dog would be fine. I knew something was wrong. I searched for reviews on the internet and read the one on Dr. Michael Kay where they went through the same thing and eventually had to put their dog down. I immediately went to Douglas Oaks Vet Hospital (great vets) for a second opinion. They found a tumor. They did an ultrasound and the tumor was the size of a small baby. They told me a normal hematocrit is 45. When Dr. Kay tested it is was 26. That is not a little anemic. By the time he got to Douglas Oaks Vet Hospital it was 20. How could Dr. Kay miss this you ask? Who knows? I took my dog to Georgia Veterinary Specialists (surgeons) (great vets) to have the tumor removed. The tumor weighed just under 6 lbs. Total cost for the surg
