I was having problems with my gums; in spite of regular dental hygiene, the problem had progressed to gingivitis, and I had a lot of trouble keep the 'pockets' cleaned out, as some were 5+mm deep. \r

So the solution was a 'trim the gums' surgery that Dr Avera explained to me, as that would reduce the amount of tissue the nasty little germs had to hide in, and allow easier access with cleaning implements. He did a terrific job of the surgery - 1 side at a time - and with only moderate pain I quickly recovered, and my gum health has improved ever since.\r

He is a very bright, kind and personable man with good sense of humor and a lot of concern for the patient's comfort. I felt like I could trust this guy all the way through, and he certainly lived up to my expectations. I would recommend him to any one who needs periodontal care and ongoing hygiene.
