I had the absolute worst service possible from this company.
My coil was leaking, so decided to purchase a new one and get it installed by Advent Air. The technician shows up and tells me the coil is not the problem, and that a valve was to blame. He replaced the valve and added coolant.
A few months later the A/C unit is, again, not working properly. The same technician that replaced the valve shows up. He finds a "bent valve" on the condenser and condemns it. He says he cannot do anything to fix the issue, and that everything else looked fine. My only option was to purchase a new condenser.
I called another company for a second opinion. They found that the coolant level was actually low and found a leak in the coil. They added coolant and the system started working great.
I spoke with Jason, one of the managers at Advent, about my service. Not only did he take MONTHS to respond to me, even though I sent a weekly reminder that my issue was never responded to, but he never acknowledged that his technician did anything wrong. The best he could do was to refund the cost of the second service call. Really? That was the BEST you could do?
I did some research on my own, found that my coil was notorious for leaking, and was actually under recall. I was able to have the entire coil replaced for free! Why didn't Advent ever offer this for me, or even advise me about the recall?
There is no way I could recommend this company to anyone. They did not fix the original problem, they did not back their work, they do not respond to complaints, and the technician obviously tried to scam me out of money for his own commission.
