Businiess name:  JOANN Fabrics & Crafts

Review content:
As an employee of Joann Fabrics, I first have to say that if corporate got wind of this person giving you fabric for free, she could get fired and, at the least, receive a disciplinary action. This is called "shrink loss" and it is absolutely against company policy. I urge all customers to remember that Joann Fabrics is a very large corporation and each and every employee's every single action is governed by directives handed down from corporate. It is no longer the mom-and-pop fabric store that can make independent decisions such as giving away free fabric. With regard to the store being a mess and fabrics all over the floor, I hate to say this, but this is the customers' doing. It is absolutely amazing how little regard and respect customers have for the fabric and other items in our stores. They throw fabric all over the floor and yes, even step on it! We've seen footprints on the fabric! Corporate does not allow us to have floor associates whose job it is to do nothing other than walk the floor and clean up messes like that. When we are busy - and we always are - we will not have time all day long to get to those messes customers make, so on behalf of all employees, please have respect for the store, the fabrics and other items in the store and for the employees themselves by please taking the time to put back items you pulled out and putting them back in the correct place as well. You'd be surprised how much more pleasant a store employee will be to you when they see that you respect them.
