I relocated from St. Bernard Parish after Katrina put 15ft of water in my house in Arabi, and my family doctor retired. Now that I am located here on the Northshore living in Pearl River, I had to find a doctor to go to on the Northshore, so in using a yellow pages I found Instant Care Family Medical. Their name sound like a friendly clinic so I went to them, But once I was there I found out they are not so friendly if you do not have insurance. Since I did not have insurance they made me go to the bank and get cash to pay them before they even let me see the doctor. (They could have told me this before I came in as they knew I did not have insurance) Beside having to go to the bank and get cash, I had to wait 2 1/2 hours to see the doctor. Once I seen the doctor, I was given a shot by the nurse, my ears was cleaned of wax by the nurse, given a antibiotic RX, and I then had to pay another $80 on top of the $92 I paid on the visit before being allowed to see the doctor.
