Review content:
Care given by surgeon was excellent and the circulating OR nurse was very diligent in updating me on my husband's progress with his surgery. However, I will not ever recommend anyone to go there and will not go there myself or return with another family member. I was not allowed in holding with my husband while he was prepped for surgery. I finally complained and I was allowed to sit with him before surgery only to find out that I had missed hearing what the anesthesiologist was telling him about the surgery (at least he was kind enough to repeat to me what the plan was) Neither was I allowed to go back and see him when he woke up and was in recovery. I have worked as a nurse for 17 years and I have never seen this type of policy implemented for a day surgery (even for adults) I believe this place needs to bring their policies a little more up to date and be a little more sensitive to overanxious spouses (especially nurses who obsess and worry about\r
what could go wrong and want to be there for their loved one)
Pros: clean facility
Cons: communication could be better, sensitivity to family members-not there
