Review content:
I've always been pleased with the care my dogs have received at Ottawa Animal Hospital. It all started several years ago when walking downtown Holland, I saw a little bird that had fallen out of its nest and was in severe pain. I called around to local vets and Ottawa Animal Hospital was the only clinic that would help. Then when my other vet basically gave up on treating my senior dog with seizure problems, I remembered the bird scenario years before and changed vets. The vets at OAH did testing that revealed severe hypothyroidism that the other vet never bothered to check for. They bent over backwards being compassionate to my situation and helping me to afford the costly thyroid medicine my dog needed. My current little dog has a heart murmur that they have been able to keep at a level 1 with preventative medicine. I had an emergency late after hours and Dr. Heitman was kind enough to meet me at the clinic and see my dog right then and there. When my grandpa was basically homeless, we took his dog in for care and they were gracious enough to treat Grandpa's dog with a break in price from their Angel Fund. For all of the above reasons, I appreciate the OAH staff and feel confident taking my pets there :)
