I am *thrilled* my 6 cats have such a caring and knowledgeable vet. She cared for my Shinji when another clinic couldn't handle him. I felt so sad for Shinji after he returned from the other clinic (cathaterized, coned, and covered in his own waste). When I brought him to Dr. Van Winkle, she treated him with the caution he needs, took the time to identify the type of crystals from which he was suffering, and informed me the other clinic had put him on the wrong food to treat struvite crystals. Over time, she has had to deliver scary news, and has always been so caring with me. She explains (in layman's terms) exactly what the issue is, and how to treat it. Her staff is excellent, too! I told them Shinji goes psycho when scruffed, and they figured out how to handle him, and have kept him calm during all his visits.
