I am on month 17 of 7 month build and out thousands of dollars. I have been promised month after month that my house would be completed and it is still not finished. 5 deadlines have come and gone with the 6th one vastly approaching. The amount of work left to be completed has all signs pointing to yet another missed closing date. There never seems to be anyone out on the job site working. Even after contacting a lawyer they still don't seem to care to finish this home anytime soon. In the beginning I was really excited to have this house built but now all I can think of is how did I get myself into this huge mess. Ryan with TCH and his banker, Norma Brown with Coldwell Banker both looked me in the eye and told me that my house would be done in 7 months knowing that 3 others before me were going through the same thing I am right now. I wouldn't trust either of them because all they have done from day one is lie. Please save yourself a ton of headache and build with someone else. When the buyer has to go in and point out that the door frames are not level, light switches are NOT to be behind doors in the bathrooms and bedroom and remind the builder that the specs call for hardwood flooring NOT carpet; there is a huge problem. This doesn't even begin to address the many other things that have to be fixed.
The quality of work from this builder is sloppy and unprofessional. Far from 'custom'!
