Dr. Landgraf was my dentist from 2006-2011. He is a fantastic dentist and I was usually very pleased with the results. I had a root canal, two crowns, whitening, regular cleanings and too many fillings to count during this time! I sometimes did not care for some of the other employees and there were a small number of miscommunications about expectations but the results were usually good there were several employees who were fantastic who made up for it. I liked all of the hygienists I saw for cleanings. \r \r Several times, there was a very long wait in the waiting room and the desk explained that the doctor was seeing emergency patients. Once, the wait was so long that there was no longer time to fit in the work I had scheduled before I had to go back to work. The office apologized, rescheduled me and sent me a gift card for my troubles.\r \r Last Thursday afternoon, one of my fillings came out and the result was horribly painful and left a very sharp edge in my mouth. Any air touching the area was just awful so breathing and talking was so painful I would not work. When I called, I was told that there were no emergency appointments available. In fact, the first time they could see me was 11:30am 5 days later on Tuesday! Jocelyn, the girl who answered the phone, did not seem to care that I was in pain and recommended that I just go to Walgreens and buy some putty to tide me over. (Yeah right! I opted for a vicodin I had left over from an injury and THAT took the edge off for much of the night.)\r \r I have loved the quality of the care but am SO incredibly disappointed that they could not get me in when I really needed them--ESPECIALLY considering so many of MY scheduled appointment times were delayed due to emergencies they accommodated for others.\r \r Thankfully I immediately received several matching referrals from friends for Discovery Dental in St. Peters where I work. I called them and they MADE ROOM for me first thing the next morning--and I wasn't even an existing client yet! My tooth was fixed and the pain was gone less than 20 hours later. Had I waited for Dr. Landgraf, I'd still be in pain now and still have 3 more days to wait!\r \r I loved Dr. Landgraf but they were not there when I needed them, so I will not be going back.
