I have to say that I have had the BEST experiences with St. Francis Animal Hospital. My cats have been cared for by them for nearly eight years now, and I won't go to anyone else. \r \r Dr. Battiato brought my elderly (now deceased) kitty back from the brink on three different occasions. And he has been honest with me to a fault. If he doesn't know something, he'll send you to a specialist. And I have ALWAYS admired his honesty. He doesn't play around. \r \r And his recommendations -- for both of my cats -- have always been spot-on. He even guided me through what I should anticipate when I adopted my present kitty, who was a very sick kitten when I brought him home. \r \r This cat is the love of my life, and I honestly don't think I would have adopted him if I didn't know that I had such a good vet who would take care of his special needs.\r \r And yes, they are expensive. But hello...this *IS* New York City, and prices are high for everything here. My cats are like my children, and
