Review content:
My wife and I have purchased several sets of tires (we competitively race our everyday cars & wear out tires alot) online through Discounttiredirect.com and other online sources since 2005 and always had them mounted and balanced at local area Discount Tire (DT) stores for their online advertised price of $20/tire. No conditions or requirements listed online as to the $20 price e.g., "tires must be purchased from DT" or anything similar.Went to the Novi, MI store for four new tire mounts / balances and when Mike at the store found out they were not purchased from DT, the price went up from $80 per set to like $125 / set and I was lectured on how DT could have saved me money; but now, it would cost me more. I called other local DTs and checked pricing and the $20/tire was confirmed.I took these to another local DT and, as in the past, the work was done for $20/tire or $80/set. Sorry I hurt Mike's feelings by purchasing from his competitor (now I'm glad I did) and he wanted to punish me
